MR-TOF
Our main focus is on Multi-Reflecting Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (MR-TOF).

MR-TOF is the proven way to reach high mass resolution (up to 1 million) and low ppb mass accuracy without sacrificing TOF speed and sensitivity. The performance and utility are validated with real-world applications and multiple released products by our customers.
Gridless ion mirrors, developed by MSC to top performance, is the way to eliminate analyzer losses (vs. TOF with grids) and to provide high order spatial, angular and energy focusing (up to fifth order). MSC has been evolving industrial methods of precise mirrors make, routinely reaching RSD < 10um precision.
MR-TOF Types
MSC is developing wide range of MR-TOF instruments – from compact benchtop (0.3×0.5m) to 0.5x1m
- Smaller MR-TOF operate at 5kHz pulsing rates at >30% duty cycle and reach R~200k.
- High End MRTOF reach R~1M and operate at 100kHz encoded frequent pulsing (invented and developed at MSC), while decoding spectra in dynamic range >1E+5.

- Now – orthogonal accelerators with high duty cycle

Stabilized High Voltage Power Supplies
To reach ultra-high resolution and mass accuracy, MSC developed methods of high voltage power supply (HVPS) stabilization, vibration decoupling, and robust internal calibration of the remaining thermal drift.
